BAREFOOT BOWLS FUNDRAISING SUCCESS
After the original venue for this event, Toorak Bowling Club, was almost wiped out in Friday's floods and foul weather, the wonderful people at the Alma Sports Club threw their greens and clubhouse open today for the St Kilda City Football Club fundraising extrazaganza that was enjoyed by over 300 locals and supporters, supporting the footy club's aspirational new leaders as they take the club forward.
Spit roasted lamb and marinated chicken was generously ladled onto plates with scrumptious salads and plenty of bread supplied by the St Kilda Fitzroy Street Rennaisance IGA, the bar was sponsored till 3pm and live music entertaining the crowd into the evening.
Nearly $10,000 was raised through raffles and and bowling fees.
