GIGS of OUR LIVES - First published July 5th 1979

This was the first of the very talented cartoonist, John Taylor, combined with Danny Nash's (RIP) brilliant sense of humour.

It appeared fortnightly and soon became a must read, if not the first read a TAGG fananatic would head for ... but not just a cartoon, Gigs of Our Lives documented the lifestyle ans some of the activities of the rock elite.

It always appeared on the pages before the TAGG mini fold poster.

I'll have to find the one which depicted Bongo Starkey putting an axe through Frank Stivala's desk.

John went on to master animation winning an AFI Award for his little movie Trevor, A Cat, followed by Trevor Island, funny as fuck...John was also a musician, in Uncle Bob's Band, Phones and with Roger Hart in Little Heroe's who scored with the hit 'One Perfect Day'.

Dan Nash became an actor and was unfortunately taken from us too young.

I believe John is out there strumming his craft in the stuggling live music scene as we speak...
